Distressed Tilda - Card No. 100
Hi there peeps
Today I have my second Christmas card of the year for you, and this time it's a Tilda card. In making this one, I've done something really unusual .......... I've used Distress Inks instead of Copics to colour with!! Shocked or what, lol? I greatly admire the Scandinavian style of colouring, and tried to emulate this, but it's going to take a LOT of practice before I'm truly happy with it. The papers are an old set from Dovecraft (I think). The tag tucked behind Tilda is a Magnolia Doo Hickey die, which I've stamped with a Whimsy Winter Letter Seal. The little 25th December button is a stamp that I think I bought from LOTV, but can't find them on their website, so I might be mistaken about that. A bit of corrugated card which I've slapped some white paint on and then distressed, a snowflake, and that's about it.
Hope you like it.

Oooh-er!!
Hi there peeps
I know it's been a long time since I posted so maybe Blogger is sulking, 'cos although the pic of this card is actually the right way up in my file, each time I've uploaded it to post, blogger has turned it side ways, so sorry if you get a crick in your neck looking at it, LOL!!
Anyway, today is my darling daughter's 32nd birthday, where, oh where do the years go!! As you will gather from the front of the card, she is a complete shoe-aholic, and so when I saw these FAB digi images at Digi Doodle Shop, I just had to get them! I coloured them in the wackiest colours I could think of, (Copics of course), and then coated parts of them with Glossy Accents. I was really pleased with the finished effect, and more to the point, so was she when she opened it this morning. I will try an turn the pic round, but this will have to do for now.
Hope you like it, and are all having a great weekend.

Shaped Card Information
Hi there
Edna asked after my last post about the shape of the card. It was cut with a Go Kreate Card Making die which my hubby tells me he bought from Click on Crafts. It's a special die with little slots that you line up with the edge of your folded card, and with a couple of runs through my Big Shot it cuts through the double layer leaving two little tabs which stop the card from falling apart - hopefully this makes sense? When he bought it, you could buy these dies individually and mine was the 6" one, but you can still buy the set of two sizes (6 x 6 and 5 x 5) here.
As I didn't have any other Go Kreate dies at the time, (a matter which I've since rectified, lol), I simply drew around the inner side of the die, and cut round it to give me my second layer. Hope this answers your questions Edna.

First Christmas card of 2011
Hi again
Today's card is my first Christmas card for 2011 - yes, I know, I've started early, but having got SO behind in 2010 I thought I'd start the way I mean to go on, and make a few Christmas cards each month - bet it doesn't last, lol.
The gold backing paper was a gift absolutely ages ago, so I have no idea where it came from. The music paper however, is a different story - my LOVELY friend Tash, kindly gave me this fabulous stamp from Whimsy as part of my Christmas present - I think it's one of those that I'm going to use LOADS!! (Thanks again, Tash). I embossed it with WOW embossing powder - the first time I've used this stuff, and it's BRILLIANT! Note to self: get some more in different colours. The little gold seal was made with a Papermania seal set that I bought in the sales LAST year, but didn't get around to using in 2010, as it was one of those things that needs a bit of practice to get the hang of, and I just didn't seem to have the time. However, I'm really pleased with it now that I've mastered it, so expect to see it cropping up a lot on Christmas cards for this year. Just as an aside, can anyone tell me, do I have to use the wax sticks from the set, or would any other candle wax work just as well???? The image is of course LOTV. The flowers are die cut with Marianne Creatables poinsettia dies. The leaves are an MS punch, and the tiny gold spirally bits are wire - I bought a couple of bags (one gold, one silver) from a cheapy shop just before Christmas, just liked the look of them, but didn't realise they were actually very fine wire - thought they were a sort of tinsel, but when stretched out they're great for adding a little something extra to a card - not bad at 50p for a huge bag full! All the white papers were distressed lightly, and then I added Stickles in gold around the edge of the gold paper to add a bit more dimension. Oh, nearly forgot to say - the card was cut with a new Go Kreate die which once again my LOVELY hubby bought me for Christmas - I love it!!
Do let me know what you think, if you have time.

Baby Girl Card
Hi there peeps
Sorry I haven't posted for a while, like everyone else I was busy over Christmas and then spent several days re-organising my craft room. I really had had enough of not being able to find things, especially my stamps!! I already had some of those plastic trolleys, but they just weren't enough, so I bought 3 more to add to my collection, and then persuaded my darling hubby to let me put up a long shelf and a pole to store some of my many MS punches - I still have 3 drawers full - not ALL MS!!
As you can see (photo below), it now looks VERY tidy, and apart from my work table, it still looks the same a week later!! It really does work, although I still have to organise and catalogue my acrylic stamps, wood mounted stamps, and unmounted stamps!! The CD cases on the shelf contain all my EZ mounted stamps which I've catalogued and numbered, so that I can lay my hands on the stamp in seconds - BRILLIANT, right?
Anyway, the card today was made for my daughter's best friend, whose baby is due any day. I absolutely adore the image which is a digi from Digi Doodle Shop (they have a 50% off sale at the moment, so get on over and take a look). The gingham paper is a digi freebie, courtesy of Bev at All The Things I Love (scroll down the side bar on the right for the link). The other papers are from a discontinued digi set. Border is a NEW MS punch which my hubby bought me for Christmas - now on my new pole. The leaves are Marianne Creatables (again from Hubby - bless him!), and the flowers are other punches, sorry, I can't remember which ones. Sentiment was computer generated.
I hope you like it, and that it's not too late to wish you all a VERY happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.
Hugs
