Kissing under the Mistletoe

Evening peeps
I thought that today I would finally show you a card I made last week, but just hadn't got around to uploading.  The image is from LOTV, and has been coloured with Copics as usual.  The paper is from a Bearly Mine digi set, to which I've added a border of dark green card cut with a couple of my new Spellbinder edgeabilities dies, and then topped with some ribbon that I picked up on the local market.  The holly leaves and berries are die cut, but I can't remember which company the die is from.  Poinsettias are made using my Marianne dies, and I've added stamens which were punched out of coffee filter papers, and then coloured with Distress Ink.  A good old sprinkle of Glamour Dust and that about sums this one up.  As always I hope you like it.

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Hi peeps

A few weeks ago I was given a metre of each of my 5 favourite Christmas ribbons by the team at Crafty Ribbons, on the condition that I made two items using the ribbon for them to display on their blog.  When the ribbon arrived, I realised that two of them were a LOT wider than I'm used to working with, so struggled quite a bit deciding how best to use them, and this is one of the cards that I came up with.  The Santa image is an old one from Magnolia.  The 'Wish List' is from Whimsy, and I think the papers are some that I picked up last year from Papermania.  I have once again used the MS icicle punch, poor thing's going to be worn out with all the use it's had this winter!

Hope you like it.

Tash is 40!!

Hi there peeps

Today's card was made a few weeks ago for a really great friend's 40th.  Obviously I didn't want to show it until after the big event, but while she's off in Canada celebrating I'm left here stuck in bed, so I thought now would be a good time to share it with you.

At the time I made it I was having to spend a LOT of time in bed, and it ended up being a bit of a rush job, so sadly it's not quite as decorative as I'd originally planned, but hopefully she liked it when she opened it on Tuesday.

The image is from LOTV, and as Tash loves her mini and is a 'pink and fluffy' type, I thought it would be just perfect for her.  I made the flower absolutely ages ago when experimenting with different techniques one day, and finally this seemed the perfect opportunity to use it.  I've also made a little tag which slips into the pocket on the bottom of the easel so that I could write my message on it.

Hope you like it.

Have a GREAT weekend.

009 - Santa Stop Here!

Hi everyone
Today's card is made using an image sent to me by a friend, so I'm afraid I don't know who it's from. Unfortunately, the glitter that I've used on him makes him look a bit weird, but it's fine in real life!   The papers are from an old Dovecraft Christmas pack - just love that bright blue. I have of course used my MS icicle punch - BRILLIANT for Christmas cards.   I used Nesties for the circles, and then ran the top one through a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The snowflake is a mixture of a couple of dies, sorry, I'm not sure which one comes from where.  They've been covered with Glamour Dust, and then I've added a few white pearls.  The sentiment is computer generated.

That's it for today peeps.

Hugs

Snowmen in stockings???

Hi peeps
OK, so he's not really in a stocking, but admit it ....... it made you look, right?

Anyway, some of my longer term followers may remember me making a couple of stocking shaped cards last year  - they were a big hit with family and friends, so when I came across the template the other day I figured I'd give it another outing.  The snowman is one of my older ones, from Whiff of Joy, I think, although I've just had a peek at their website, and can't find him, so maybe he's been discontinued??   As usual he's been coloured with Copics and given the Glamour Dust treatment.  The patterned paper is another digi from Shery K, and because it was a bit 'in your face', I decided to use plain green card for the stocking top, toe, and heel, but hey, it's for Christmas, and Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a little sparkle, so when I'd finished I doodled little patterns all over the green bits with my glue pen, and then sprinkled them with Glamour Dust - MUCH better!!  Once again I've given the MS icicle punch an outing, and I made some more poinsettias using my Marianne Creatable dies - love 'em.  I then covered the flowers with glossy accents and sprinkled them with Twinklets Diamond Dust - think I might have gone a bit overboard!!!  The sentiment is a stamp from the latest Whimsy release, and that's it.

Hope you have a moment to let me know what you think.
