Bridesmaid Tilda

Hi there

I love this Tilda stamp, and have been waiting to get it for simply AGES!!  It's still on pre-order most places, but my WONDERFUL friend Tasha went to the NEC last Friday, and kindly picked it up for me, so I've made this card especially for her as a thank you.  I guess you could say I've been a bit cheeky, as the lovely patterned paper is one of the ones she gave me, so it's like I'm giving it back!  Tilda has of course been coloured with Copics, and I made up some more of the delightful flowers that I seem to be using on everything at the moment.

I think I might enter it in the Just Magnolia Challenge this week (48).

Hugs

Tilda goes Turquoise

Today I have another Tida bunny to show you.  I have three grandkids, all girls, and they LOVE Tilda, so making cards for them is a breeze.  However, there is only 15 months between the eldest two, so they argue over everything, hence, I've used the same image on both their Easter cards, and even now, I've probably got it wrong, and one of them will want the Tilda in the colour I've given the other one.  They're only 9 and almost 8, at the moment, so heaven only knows what that household is going to be like in another few years!!!

The Magnolia background papers look a bit fuzzy, I have a feeling I might have had the camera in the wrong mode, again!  I cut an oval shape with a Nestie for Tilda to sit on, added a bit of stitching - I'm really getting into this now that I have my new mini machine.  A little bit of lace added with the aid of a Martha Stewart punch, and a butterfly peel off, pretty much make up the card, with the now OBLIGATORY hand made flowers!!

Would love to hear what you think of it.

Tilda's Easter Bunny

Hi there,
First of all I'd like to start by thanking all of you who have been kind enough to leave comments on my work.  It really is much appreciated.

Today I finished off this card which is for one of my granddaughters.  I used the delightful Tilda in her bunny outfit - isn't she adorable?  The papers were from Papercraft Inspirations magazine, I downloaded copies, as I hate pulling my mags apart!  The lacey doily mat was made with a Martha Stewart around the page punch.  The bunny was also a part of the Easter freebies from the magazine, but I coloured him over with Copics, and added a bit of cotton wool to make him a nice fluffy tail.  Flowers made with the method kindly introduced to me by 'Lil Daffodil', I can't get over how easy these are to make, and they're so effective, too!  A little bit of stitching done on the machine, and a computer generated label to finish off.  Voila!  There you have it.  Hope you like it.

Mouse in a teacup

Hi peeps

Its a soggy old day here in Hampshire, so I thought if the weather's the same where you are, this bright card might cheer you up!

The image is a Tina Wenke one from Stampavie, called Mouse in a Tea Cup, and as usual I've coloured it with Copics.  I raised it on some foam pads to give it a bit of depth, which I think you can just about see???  The papers are some more from the lovely Tasha (one of my many Docrafter friends).  Flowers - hand made.  Butteflies punched and stamped using one of the Martha Stewart punch and stamp kits that I got from QVC when they were the TSV.  Buttons from stash.  Sentiment - computer generated and then cut out with Nesties.

I plan to enter this into the Stampavie Challenge #20 which is to make an Easter Card.  Hope they like it.

Hugs to you all, and thanks for checking out my blog.

My First EVER Wedding Card

Hi there peeps

I thought I'd try something different for my very first wedding card, so decided to make a circular easel card.  The stamp I've used is another from Lili of the Valley.  I'm really lovin' these stamps, although they're not quite so easy to colour, as Whiff of Joy, or Magnolias!!  I tried to keep it fairly simple, but added a lot of sparkle with stickles to the wedding image, and the flowers.  The papers were a download, but the company I got them from, have, I believe, ceased trading.  The sentiments were computer generated.  The big rose is from Hobbycraft, the small one from Wild Orchid Crafts, it was ivory, but I tinted it with my copics to make it blend in with the papers and the bridal couple.

Hope you like it.

First of my new LOTV stamps!

\Hi again

I've just finished making this card with one of  my new Lili of the Valley stamps called 'Me and my cat'.  I think the new stamps they've just brought out are absolutely fab, so expect to see other cards come through using lots of these stamps - I bought 7!!!!!!!  The background papers are a selection from the 'Nitwits' digital papers and are called 'Butterfly Kisses Too'.

The flowers were made with a technique which is new to me, and was kindly shared by 'Lil Daffodil' (alias Fiona), check out her blog here.  Her work is GORGEOUS!!  Fiona doesn't take credit for the flower technique, but kindly shared the instructions from her first Magnolia magazine, which I stupidly missed out on, and of course you can't get them now for love or money - well, maybe about £20.00 on Ebay!!!

Leaves were cut with a Martha Stewart punch.  Pearls from The Hobby House.  The sentiment is a stamp from my well used Claire Curd sentiment set, and I glued on a couple of teeny weeny star crystals just to make it stand out a bit.

Hope you have time to leave me a comment
