Hello fellow crafters, and of course anyone else checking out my blog.
Today I would like to show you a card that I really struggled with!!! A friend suggested that I should make some Mother's Day cards to sell, however, my Mum died 8 years ago, before I started cardmaking, and even after all this time, I found the emotions running high when I printed out the sentiment, so I'm not sure whether I'll make any more.
I love the Tilda image that I've used, and felt that the papers I've used ( a FREE download from http://www.card‐making‐downloads.com/ ) were a perfect foil for Tilda's lilacs. I cut the flowers using Spellbinders - Flower Creations - 3, then screwed them up and sanded them gently to give a distressed effect. Layered three different sizes together for the large flower, added a crystal to the centre, and hey presto! Leaves were cut using the Leone Em punch. Computer generated sentiment, and ribbon from stash.
Let me know what you think

ReplyDeleteHi Judi! This card is gorgeous! I love the pretty lilac colors and the papers you used were indeed perfect for this Tilda! You do beautiful work! I'm sending you big hugs and know exactly how you feel about trying to make the card. I lost my Mom 23 years ago, and Mother's Day still brings up emotions. They're our mom after all. They'll always be in our hearts. Big hugs!
